Compact refresh progress report

An update on the Refreshed Compact [28/01/2010]

It’s been a little over a month since the Refreshed Compact was launched. In that time, we and our Compact Partners have been busily working on our strategies to ensure that the new Compact is used to deliver better partnership working between government and the voluntary sector. Over the next few months, we’ll be joining forces with other key organisations to visit different parts of the country and promote the new Compact.

The first milestone event will be the Annual Compact meeting on 1 February, which brings together key representatives from the Compact partnership. Simon Blake, Chair of Compact Voice, Sir Bert Massie, Commissioner for the Compact, and Dawn Butler, Minister in the Cabinet Office will all reflect on the busy past year for the Compact, and discuss the opportunities - and the challenges - that 2010 will bring.

At this meeting, Compact Voice will be launching our ‘Impact Report’, an annual report (of sorts) which looks at some of the major successes we have achieved over the year. Looking over the timeline of events, and some of the new initiatives Compact Voice has developed really highlights the impact that we have had, and the difference it has made on behalf of – and alongside - the Sector.
This will soon be available online, so please sign up to our enewsletter for more information.
