Alan Strickland

Alan StricklandAlan Strickland is Senior Policy and Information Manager at Volunteering England, responsible for leading Volunteering England’s policy, information and public affairs functions. The policy and information team works with a wide range government departments and agencies, working to create a political, economic and social environment that actively supports volunteering. The team also provides the very popular online Good Practice Bank www.volunteering.org.uk/goodpractice which offers advice and information to volunteer managers. Before joining Volunteering England, Alan worked for the youth volunteering charity ‘v’, Comic Relief and was president of a university student union. He is a trustee of the environment charity BTCV and for two years chaired the board of the social enterprise ‘Young People Change the World’.
